Waves, Babes, and Gamma-rays The Mel-tones take you there!
The whole is more than the sum of its parts. It’s alchemy, man; a bit of sand, a dash of palm, the breath of the sea, and voila, sonic gold.
The many moods of the seven seas, the spi-fi secrets, the foiled plans of ne’er do wells and les femmes fatales, and the infinite span of the cosmos –
you can feel it, you can see it, you can reach out and and touch it – the Mel-tones serve it up on a silver platter.
Hooked? Oh yeah, Daddio. Wrap your mind around the sound; accept the melodic metaphors and sonic similes. These reverbed guitars and the big surf
beat will grab you by your ears and take you along of the ride!

the group with guitarist Stan Sawczyszyn, bassist Sandro Carrubba, and drummer Mark MacIsaac. The band released CDs Surfing At Black Point (1996) and
Surf Before Sunrise (1997) before Mel moved to California in 1998.
Working with LoveCat Music, the Mel-tones have had songs appear in a number of television shows and movies,
including Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants,
MTV's Made and Real World, Disney's My Favorite Martian, and 20th Century Fox’s Big Mamma's House 2.
In 2003, LoveCat Music released Surf Sensation, the best of The Mel-tones, including four unreleased tracks!
Now, ten years after the release of their first CD, The Mel-tones present SURF! SPY! SPACE!
